Store Program Assistant
Volunteer Position: Store Program Assistant (Evenings & Weekends)
We are seeking a dedicated and organized volunteer to support our Adoption Relationships Manager. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, communicates effectively, and is passionate about animal welfare.
Role Overview
The Store Support Assistant acts as a key liaison between the Adoption Relationships Manager, intake team, store coordinators, healthcare team, and other stakeholders. This position plays an important role in ensuring timely communication and coordination, particularly during evenings and weekends.
Key Responsibilities
Serve as the primary point of contact in support of the Adoption Relationships Manager outside of regular hours (evenings and weekends)
Coordinate urgent store cat moves in collaboration with the medical team when health concerns arise
Communicate clearly and professionally with internal teams and stakeholders, primarily via email
Assist with managing multiple active cases, ensuring timely follow-ups and appropriate prioritization
Support smooth coordination between adoption locations and internal departments
Qualifications
Must be 18 years of age or older
Demonstrated ability to balance and prioritize multiple competing tasks
Strong written communication skills (this role is largely email-based)
Comfortable working in a fast-paced, sometimes high-pressure environment
Healthy coping strategies to manage stress effectively
Reliable daily access to email and phone
Proficiency with Gmail, Google Docs, and Google Sheets (training will be provided)
Training & Commitment
Full training will be provided
Availability during evenings and weekends is required
