TCR Celebrates our Volunteers

My name is Liia Mayhew, I have been an active volunteer since last December 2020. I heard TCR needed long distance drivers for adoptions in Southern Ontario, I quickly applied and started driving cats to and from Animal hospitals and foster homes. Previously, I worked at a food delivery company which started my love for driving and interacting with others. A month later, I applied to be a Foster parent to any cat that needs TLC. Since then I’ve been a Foster parent to two cats with totally different personalities and needs. Given the responsibility of caring for the vulnerable cats of today society has been very rewarding. Becoming a volunteer at TCR has been a dream of mine since I was young. During the pandemic, I found a way to make it happen and now I’ve saved many cats lives in just a short time. Every day I am excited to support the cats coming through TCR and the ones that are still out there that need a home and much care.
