Support Toronto Cat Rescue at community events by helping create a welcoming, engaging experience for members of the public while raising awareness, recruiting supporters, and generating vital funds for cats in need.

Help Us Make a Difference

Toronto Cat Rescue attends community events throughout the Greater Toronto Area to raise awareness of our work, connect with animal lovers, recruit new volunteers and foster homes, and raise funds to support our lifesaving programs. As an Events Volunteer, you'll be one of the friendly faces representing Toronto Cat Rescue, helping visitors learn about our mission while supporting the smooth running of each event.

Whether you're welcoming visitors to our booth, chatting with potential supporters, selling merchandise, or accepting donations, you'll play an important role in helping more cats find safety and loving homes.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Represent Toronto Cat Rescue professionally and enthusiastically at community events

• Welcome visitors and speak with members of the public about our mission and programs

• Help promote volunteer opportunities, fostering, adoption, and fundraising initiatives

• Accept donations and assist with merchandise sales using cash or Square payment systems (training provided)

• Assist with setting up and taking down event displays and materials

• Help keep the booth organised, welcoming, and well stocked throughout the event

• Support the Event Organiser and other volunteers as needed during events

Qualifications & Expectations

• Must be 18 years or older

• Friendly, approachable, and comfortable speaking with members of the public

• Passionate about animal welfare and Toronto Cat Rescue's mission

• Reliable and able to commit to scheduled events

• Ability to work courteously and cooperatively with staff, volunteers, and members of the public

• Able to stand for extended periods and assist with light lifting and moving event materials

• Willingness to learn about Toronto Cat Rescue's programs and initiatives

• Attend events in and around the Greater Toronto Area as your availability allows
