Please note — Toronto Cat Rescue is not a shelter with full time employees. However, for your convenience our volunteers do pick up messages seven days a week and we are always happy to hear from potential adopters and foster homes. We will return your call promptly.

If your call is about adopting please press “1” and leave a detailed message that includes the name of the cat you are interested in adopting. It is helpful if you describe your current pet owning situation, give a brief pet owning history, and tell us if you have young children in your home. A volunteer will return your call within 24 hours. We strive to match cats to compatible adoptive homes. To that end, the caller will conduct a telephone interview to determine whether you and the cat(s) seem to be a good match.

If your call is about a pre-paid spay or neuter, please press "2" and leave a message.

If your call is about a cat you have found, or you are looking to find a home for your cat, please press “3” and leave a message.

If your call is about fostering, volunteering or donating, please wait for the beep and leave a message.

We try to return adoption and fostering calls promptly but please keep in mind that there are times when our volunteers are overwhelmed by the number of cats needing care. Your calls are important and we do want to hear from you!
