Peggy
DSH, brown tabby and white, female, spayed, vaccinated, DOB October 15, 2009. Peggy is an excellent cat - young, smart with a nice balance of independence and affection. A bit cautious at first, she likes people and is curious about what they are doing. She likes attention and seeks it out, She is not pushy or intrusive with people, although she can be a bit dominant (not aggressive) with other cats who want to share her space, food or her people. Dogs do not bother her unless they are threatening. What Peggy wants is a window with a good view, a snoozing place in the sun and a warm person to snuggle beside while they watch TV together. She has not been tested with young children, but she is assertive and will squirm/protest if she is manhandled, carried around against her will or stuffed in a cat carrier. So a child would need to be old enough to "read" Peggy and recognize that she does not like to handled roughly or confined against her will. Peggy is a clean cat who takes good care of herself and is neat about her food and litter pan. She has her cute little routines and ways about her, and she would be a wonderful addition to a home with older children or adults. Peggy probably would be happiest on her own, and she is independent enough to snooze happily while her people are away during the day. But she is young, active and curious and needs some entertainment and playtime each day as well. Boxes, high places and birds outside are desirable.
