The Happy Tail of Boo & Buttons
Today, we’re thrilled to share the Happy Tail of dynamic duo Boo and Buttons - a bonded pair who have taken over the hearts (and photo apps!) of their new family.
When Marlene and Jonathan first started looking at adoption profiles, they were immediately drawn to the description of Boo and Buttons. They knew they wanted a male and female pair, so these fuzzy besties seemed perfect - and as soon as they saw firsthand the special connection between Boo and Buttons, the deal was sealed!
It can often be a lengthy adoption wait for bonded pairs - not all new pet parents are looking to double their trouble! But, as Marlene & Jonathan can attest, witnessing the love between cat BFFs is a special treat.
“Once we saw them, how attached to each other they were, we knew we made the right decision.”
Once adopted, the terrific twosome jumped paws first into their new life. Buttons, the fearless explorer of the pair, would not be contained to his “kitty base camp” for long!
Boo was more cautious than her bold buddy, but knew one “meow” would bring her protector back to her side. Soon, both cats were exploring the hallway and beyond!
Buttons established himself quickly as a proactive snuggler, while Boo took her time warming up. Both are now champion cuddlers, climbing under the blankets to enjoy a Netflix night with mum and dad.
“Buttons loves pressing his little head against our leg or arm when we are on the couch; that’s how we know he wants to cuddle. Boo [...] is starting to do the same.”
Now that they run the place, Boo and Buttons bring joy and laughter into Marlene and Jonathan’s home every day. Buttons’s new hobby is making the door stoppers spring loudly and he is 100% undeterred by mum’s attempt to lower the volume of his beautiful music.

Boo has come a long way with trusting her new family, but her favourite being on earth is still Buttons; often when he’s off on one of his reconnaissance missions, she’ll coo a little “where are you?” meow and he’s back in the flick of a cat’s tail.
The family that snuggles together stays together.
Marlene and Jonathan are happy to admit they’re completely over-the-moon for their new cat companions, eagerly coming home to them each day and even turning the kitty base camp into a permanent Boo and Buttons sanctuary.
“Yes, they have their own bedroom.”
